EnerBiz Ltd: Commission Transparency Policy

Purpose

This policy sets out how EnerBiz Ltd (the Business) discloses and manages commission in relation to energy procurement and related services. EnerBiz is committed to transparency with customers regarding how it is remunerated.

SME Commission Structure (Tickd Platform)

For SME contracts placed through the Tickd platform, EnerBiz receives commission from suppliers on a fixed per‑meter basis according to estimated annual consumption, exclusive of VAT:

Estimated Annual Consumption (kWh)

Fixed Commission (ex VAT)

≤ 15,000

£100

15,001 – 30,000

£175

30,001 – 50,000

£250

50,001+

£500

Where a customer has multiple meters, the commission applies per meter at the relevant band.

Domestic Commission

For domestic contracts, EnerBiz also receives a commission payment from suppliers. The commission may differ from SME arrangements and is included in the tariff price. EnerBiz confirms that it receives remuneration for arranging domestic contracts but the structure may vary by supplier. Details will be disclosed to domestic customers on request in writing.

Bespoke and High Usage Contracts

For larger, high‑consumption or bespoke procurements EnerBiz may operate outside the fixed Tickd bands. In such cases, EnerBiz will disclose in writing the commission basis and the total amount payable for the full contract term before the contract is agreed. Commission may be structured as a unit‑rate uplift, a fixed fee, or a hybrid approach.

Examples

Fixed Commission (SME via Tickd): an electricity meter with 20,000 kWh/year attracts £175 commission (ex VAT). For three such meters the total commission is 3 × £175 (ex VAT).

Uplift Commission (Bespoke): if a unit uplift of 0.50 pence per kWh is agreed for 40,000 kWh/year over 24 months, the total commission is 0.005 × 40,000 × 2 = £400 (ex VAT).

Disclosure

EnerBiz will disclose the commission for a customer’s contract in writing upon request. This includes the basis of calculation and the total value for the contract term where applicable. Domestic customers may also receive disclosure during the contract journey if required by regulation or the supplier process.

Record Keeping

EnerBiz maintains accurate records of commission arrangements and payments. Records are retained for audit and regulatory purposes.
