Ofgem has confirmed that British Gas will take over the supply of all Tomato Energy customers following Tomato Energy’s exit from the energy market. This transition is being carried out under the Supplier of Last Resort (SoLR) process, which protects customers and ensures energy supplies continue without interruption.

This change affects around 15,000 domestic customers and 8,000 non-domestic (business) customers.

What Will Happen Next?

• Your gas and/or electricity will remain on — there is no disruption to supply.
• British Gas will contact affected customers directly with details of the new tariff.
• There are no exit fees for changing supplier during this transition period.
• You are free to review the market and choose a different tariff or supplier if preferred.
